Starts in therapy. Camera is positioned behind the therapist (Chloe), over her shoulder so we can not see her face properly. We will be able to see the patient (Corin) in the background lead down on the sofa.
The scene will shift between this shot and a shot of Corin's profile as she is lead on the sofa talking about her childhood and answering questions.
Chloe: What does this look like *etc.*
Corin: My mum.
Chloe: *puts the cards down* were you close to your mother when you were younger?
Corin: No, she died when I was very young.
*Flashback 1*
Corin: I never really had anyone when I was younger.
*Flashback 2*
Corin: I've always been alone.
Chloe: But you haven't, have you?
*Corin turns her heads towards chloe*
Corin: No, I haven't.
*Turns her head back towards the ceiling*
*Flashback 3*
Chloe: Explain, who's always been with you?
Corin: *Stares at Chloe*
Chloe: Surely you've seen its face?
Corin: I've never seen its face, just presence and shadows... No matter how close, i've never been close enough.
*Flashback 4*
Corin: It replaced my mum from the day she died, it's always been there but never let me close enough to connect with it.
*Flashback 5*
Corin: It keeps getting worse, the presence, it's getting stronger.
*Flashback 6*
Corin: Theres no way to control it, it's just always there.
*Flashback 7*
Corin: It torments me, I don't know how to get around it
Chloe: Have you tried contacting it?
Corin: I don't know how to, every time I try to talk to it, it gets angry. It's tried to hurt me a few times, I Don't understand what it wants.
*Flashback 8*
*Flashback 9*
Corin: You never know where it's gonna be next, its always lurking but never in sight
*Flashback 10*
*Camera tracks around to reveal Chloes face*
Chloe: Maybe it's closer than you think.

Flashback 1 - The Death of her Mother
Mum is stabbed, crawls along the floor. She is then propped up against the fridge as she slowly dies. The killer leaves the knife beside the victim and walks away. You can see their shadow as they walk away.
Flashback 2 - Always Alone
Child is seen playing by herself with the presence being seen in the background.
Flashback 3 - Something Lurking in the Dark
Corin is lying in bed with the presence looming over her. In different shots the presence slowly moves closer. The presence starts at the end of the bed leaning over Corin, It then moves to be sat on the end of the bed, then stood beside the bed and touches Corin's face, then is sat at the side of the bed staring.
Flashback 4 - Trapped in a Cage
Alex (portraying Corin as a child) will be sat in the middle of the trampoline. The shot will be of her in the middle of the trampoline with the presence behind her, and there will be a separate shot of a close up in her face showing her fear.
Flashback 5 - Homework Time
We first see Corin typing out an essay on the computer, a book drops off the desk in the background, she turns around to pick it up from the floor. The camera will turn with her so our view of the computer isn't there for a second and when she turns back around the essay will be gone and the computer screen will say "I AM ALWAYS THERE".
Flashback 6 - Reverse Shot
Corin will be sat in the corner of a room with her knees up to her chest, rocking back and forth and staring blankly at nothing. Objects such as childhood toys, books and papers will be thrown at her from out of the shot as she is screaming. When we get into post production we will reverse the shot so as she screams all of the objects fly up from the floor.
Flashback 7 - Day Out
Corin will be sat on the sofa with the camera looking over her shoulder as she is on her phone looking through pictures from a trip out. As she is looking through her pictures she realises that all the pictures have the same person in (the presence) and she starts to panic as she is looking through them.
We decided not to use this scene as we thought it wouldn't add much more to the concept that is already shown throughout our opening title sequence.

Flashback 8 - Running in your own Home
The camera will be at a high angle. Corin will be running down a corridor trying to find a way out as the camera tracks with her from behind her head. You will be able to hear her breathing.
Flashback 9 - No way out of the Dark
Extreme close-up on Corin's face, she is surrounded by darkness and breathing heavily as though she has been running. She will be pushed by an invisible force (someone behind the camera) out of the shot, the camera will be on manual focus so she will get blurry as she moves out of shot.
Flashback 10 - Hunted
Corin will be sat in a wardrobe, again breathing heavily. A shadow will go past the wardrobe (the person will have a knife in their hands) and Corin will hold her breath as they go past.
